How to Play Backgammon
1. The board has 24 points arranged in two rows:
• Top row: Points 13–24 (left-to-right)
• Bottom row: Points 12–1 (left-to-right)
2. The standard starting position is used:
• White: 2 checkers on point 24, 5 on point 13, 3 on point 8, 5 on point 6
• Black: 2 checkers on point 1, 5 on point 12, 3 on point 17, 5 on point 19
3. When a checker moves onto a point that has a single opponent checker, that checker is hit and sent to the Bar.
4. If you (or the Bot) have checkers on the Bar, you must re-enter them first using the dice:
• White re-enters on points 24–19 (indices 23–18).
• Black re-enters on points 1–6 (indices 0–5).
5. Click "Roll Dice" to roll; dice indicate how many points you can move (doubles grant four moves).
6. Click on a point containing your checkers to make a move. If multiple moves are possible, you will be prompted to choose a die value.
7. Bearing off is allowed when all your checkers are in your home board (for White: points 1–6).
8. After your move, the Bot will move automatically.
